We'd planned to go to Jantz this morning, but learned it was closed on Sunday's, so we headed to Cinema Cafe instead. I'm so glad we did! There is indoor and outdoor seating. We had our furry friend with us, so we went with outdoor. It's very comfortable outside, but I will note that we had some pesky flies, for which I wished there was a good solution. Our server was Lydia (Lidia?) and she was incredibly welcoming and personable - just a lovely person, who was also knowledgeable and efficient. I had the El Capitan omelet breakfast with country potatoes and sourdough toast. And coffee - very good coffee. The El Capitan was fluffy eggs, mozzarella cheese, alfalfa sprouts and avocado on top. Very good. Country potatoes are red potatoes with perfectly sauteed red onion, green bell pepper and mild seasoning. My daughter had the biscuits and gravy - something you might want to know about this is that M-F the gravy is vegetarian, but on weekends it includes sausage. Another in our group had the ham and eggs breakfast. We were all pleased with our choices - although I really wish they'd figure out how to make a one pancake, one egg Benedict, one biscuit and gravy, and one tiny omelet breakfast, because I really wanted to try all of those things! :) Thanks, Cinema Cafe and special thanks to Lydia for the great meal!
Passing through on the way home, great spot. Good prices and food is very tasty. Great service and coffee is delicious. There is inside and outside seating.
Waitress was very nice and the hamburger was off the hook! Like advertised the best in town much better than habit and in and out! The chicken fries steaks was ok but said he would order it again if he came back so it must be good! Will come me back ...
Haven't been to this place in 5+years!! Still taste great! Note: This place is very small so having a big group might be hard! They do offer outside dining as well. We had a group of 7 plus 3 small kiddos so we dined outside. We all order the same thing such as Farmers Favorite, Whole Hog, and French fries. Farmer Favorite: Not my dish but per the one who ate it was was super delicious!! Whole Hog: 4.5/5 Great dish-hash brown, eggs, bacon, sausage patty, and Ham. I order my eggs and hash well done and the cook did a good job with my order. I wasn't a big fan of the ham I would give it a 2/5. Their home fries are delicious 4/5! They have crinkle cut fries and I love the seasoning they on it 4/5! Bring your own drink/water!!! I did not like their water at all 0/5!!! Overall, it was great to eat here again! The service was slow...there was only one server and one cook so be prepare to wait!
Been here twice. On my first visit I had a burger and fries. Both were amazing! The burger was huge and tasted homemade, just like the burgers I had at home when I was a kid. On my second visit, I decided to have breakfast for lunch. Corned beef hash, eggs over easy, hash browns and wheat toast. AMAZING! They really know how to cook here! Both times I was there they were super busy. I sat at the counter during my visits, so I got to watch a lot of yummy looking plates come out. They even have some items they prepare that aren't on the menu. An awesome looking salad for a long time customer sitting next to me at the counter and chilequilles another customer.
